Uses: mainly used as complexing agent in cyanogen-free electroplating, substituting for sodium cyanide. It also can be used as pretreating agent in electroplating and pyrophosphoric acid electroplating solution, as ingredient and additive in all kinds of detergents and metal surface treating agent, as clay dispersant in ceramic industry, as dispersant and buffering agent in pigment and dyes, to remove a small amount of ferric ion from water in blanching and dyeing industry to improve quality.
